Privacy Policy: B-Hydrate: Water Reminder

This policy explains how B-Hydrate - Water Reminder (the "app") handles information.

Information the app stores on your device

The app stores the following only in its private storage on your phone:

• Drink log: the time, amount and type of each drink you add (for example "250 ml, tea, 09:15").
• Settings and profile: your name (optional, used only to greet you), weight, activity level, climate choice, daily goal, units, reminder times, theme and other preferences you choose. You enter these during the first-run setup and can change them any time in Settings.
• Progress: streaks, levels, badges and quests are calculated on the device from your drink log.

This information is never uploaded, and we cannot see it. It is never shared with advertisers. Weight and similar details are used only to suggest your daily goal on the device.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app is free and is supported by banner ads served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and use, on behalf of Google and its partners:

• Device identifiers, including the Android advertising ID (you can reset or delete it in Android settings under Privacy > Ads);
• Approximate location derived from your IP address, and your IP address;
• App interactions and diagnostics, such as ad impressions, taps, crashes and performance data;
• Basic device and app information such as device model, OS version and app version.

We do not receive this data and we do not send your drink log or profile to AdMob. Ads may be personalised or non-personalised depending on your choice. In the European Economic Area, the UK and other regions where required, the app asks for your consent with Google's consent form before any ad is requested. You can change your choice at any time using Settings > Ad privacy choices (shown where applicable), or opt out of ad personalisation in your Android settings.

How Google uses data from apps that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Permissions

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): to show your hydration reminders and the optional streak-saver nudge. The app asks during the quick tour, and you can turn notifications off at any time in Android settings.
• Run at startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): to schedule your reminders again after the phone restarts.
• Vibrate (VIBRATE): for the optional vibration on reminders.
• Internet and network state (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): used only to load ads. The app works fully offline; without a connection no ads are shown.
• Advertising ID (AD_ID): lets the ads SDK use the Android advertising ID, as described above.
• Standard background-work permissions (WAKE_LOCK, FOREGROUND_SERVICE): added automatically by Android's WorkManager library so reminders can be scheduled reliably.

The app does not use your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, files or any other sensitive permission.

Exporting your data

If you choose Settings > Export drink log (CSV), the app creates a text copy of your drink log and opens Android's share sheet. You decide which app, if any, receives it. We never receive it.

Analytics

The app contains no analytics or tracking SDKs of its own. The only third-party SDK that connects to the internet is the Google Mobile Ads SDK described above.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell your information. We cannot share your drink log or profile because they never leave your device. The only data that leaves the device is what the Google Mobile Ads SDK sends to Google to serve ads.

Security

Your data lives in the app's private storage, protected by Android's application sandbox. Backups to the cloud are turned off for this app.

Your choices and deletion

• Delete your drink history at any time with Settings > Delete all drink history.
• Remove all app data by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage in Android settings.
• Change ad consent with Settings > Ad privacy choices, and reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings.
• Revoke permissions at any time in Android settings.

Health information

B-Hydrate - Water Reminder is a wellness tool and not a medical device. Its goal suggestion and the way different drinks count toward your goal are general estimates. Talk to a doctor if you have a health condition that affects how much you should drink.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and ads are not intended for them. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The effective date above will change, and material changes will be shown in the Play Store listing or in the app.
